technolike - the new age of russian animation

Every time i see some news about new russian animation, i'm usually kinda dissapointed - 90% of the time this is just remakes of USSR classic animation, there isn't anything new in a shape of ideas and production techniques.

This year in Russian media opens with a few big premieres - Чебурашка 2 (2025), Буратино (2025), Простоквашино (2025) and Сказка о царе Салтане (2025). Maybe this is not bad to remake some classic to meke it interesting to Gen Alpha kids and their parents, but i don't belive this is how something great could be created - you cannot just make three spin-offs to your parent's favorite movie and make a good memories out of it. This releases got kinda average reviews. Not going to say this films are bad or good, but this is my personal opinion.

But, out of this big premieres, there is some little gem, which didn't get any attension in a big media - i never seen it on TV, or even YouTube reviews. I just find this one by accident, on some little YouTube channel.

My first impression been really good, and i didn't get dissapointed. I love sweet-hearted animation with colorful backgrounds, and fast storrytelling. This makes me remind of my favorite cartoon series of all times - Spongebob Squarepants, with it's crazy storylines and short episodes (11 minuites).

But, this one looks more like an other Nickelodeon's creation - Glitch Techs, since they have the same futuristic style, but Technolike combine 2D and 3D art styles, switching between sweet 3D and funny Chibi-style comedy sketches.

Since this show only started, We only know this is a story of girl Anna (Anya), she's a member of Techno Like - a metaverse created by father of her classmate Maxim (Maxxx). Anna is really sad she isn't popular among classmates and other users, so she tries a diffirent ways to get popular. This is a story of the first episode, but in a future episodes things gets more interesting, with a complex character changes. Right now, there is only 12 episodes released, out of 26 planned, but i'm going to wait for the new episodes, and maybe sometimes write on my BlueSky about TechnoLike's new episodes.

I'm really proud to say, this is a chance for Russian animation to get better, and become popular not only in Russia - some people also made reviews on other languages, like English and Spanish to this series, so i'm really happy, and would like to also tell you about this gem. Anayway, this is not an Indie animation, since created by a big animation studio Ярко[Yarko].

I don't know, is there an english dubbing for this series, and as i see there isn't any subtitles on their RuTube channel, and this is kinda sad, since makes this one some kind of a local phenomenon, even if someone beyond Russia discuss this one.
